Setting The Scene
Fulton and Powell will open up the brand new Scarbro Stadium
tonight as they renew a rivalry that was last played in 1992.
The Panthers defeated Buck Coatney’s first Fulton team 28-0 in
1992. Both teams were then members of District 3-AA…Fulton holds
a slight 7-6 advantage in the series…Both squads are coming off
Week 0 victories. Fulton defeated Morristown West 16-13, while
Powell won at South-Doyle 31-0… This will be only the second
time in history that the Falcons have played two games in the
month of August. Fulton dropped both August games back in 2001.
The Falcons are 11-14 in the month of August…Fulton RB Dametrius
Thomas has rushed for over 100 yards in 3 of his last 4 games.
He ran for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns in last week’s win
